Proposed 2018 Farm Bill “Categorically Exempts” PJ Forest Removal from Environmental Review

Proposed 2018 Farm Bill “Categorically Exempts” PJ Forest Removal from Environmental Review

The House version of the proposed 2018 Farm Bill contains a provision that would exempt forest destruction of Pinyon-Juniper forests from environmental review under the National Environmental Policy Act.

This law is fundamentally insufficient to save the planet, but it does represent one of the few tools that conservationists use to protect rare and endangered species and to reign in wayward politicians and their destructive schemes.

If you live in the western state, contact your representatives and demand that they stop this!
